Find this on your crane's outrigger reaction / load chart, or ask the manufacturer. It's the peak load one outrigger sees during the lift.
How this works: we convert the outrigger load in tonnes to kilonewtons (×9.81), then divide by the allowable bearing pressure to get the pad area needed to keep pressure under the ground's limit. Soft or uncontrolled ground and critical lifts must be confirmed by a geotechnical engineer.
