Overview

Jib cranes, whether massive freestanding pillar units or wall-mounted articulated arms, provide highly efficient, localized lifting solutions across manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance facilities. However, their simple appearance masks intense, concentrated structural stresses. When a jib crane swings a heavy load at the extreme end of its cantilevered arm, it generates massive bending moments that attempt to tear the crane from its mountings.
