Visual inspections alone are fundamentally inadequate for ensuring the structural integrity of heavy lifting equipment. The most dangerous structural threats—microscopic weld cracks, internal material flaws, and deep metal fatigue—are entirely invisible to the naked eye. Our NDT Reports provide the essential, deep-level structural verification mandated by Australian Standards. Utilising advanced techniques such as Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), our certified technicians penetrate the surface of load-bearing steelwork and critical mechanical components. This highly specialised analysis is a non-negotiable requirement during 10-year major inspections, following suspected overload incidents, or as part of routine maintenance on high-duty cycle cranes, ensuring that structural integrity remains absolutely uncompromised.

The value of Non-Destructive Testing lies not just in the scanning, but in the authoritative interpretation of the results. Our NDT technicians are highly certified under AS/NZS ISO 9712 (Level II and III), ensuring extreme precision and accuracy. We seamlessly integrate these NDT findings with our broader engineering assessments. When a flaw is detected, our structural engineers immediately analyse the data to determine its severity, fatigue growth rate, and impact on the crane's overall Safe Working Load (SWL). The resulting NDT Report is a comprehensive, highly technical document detailing exact defect locations, severity categorizations, and providing explicit engineering directives for necessary weld repairs or component replacements.
